Chinese Bears Statuette
19th century AD. A carved amethyst figure of two bears posed symmetrically, each with its chin resting on the rump of the other, legs folded beneath the body, tail curled to the rump, with herring bone detailing to the spine and spiral hips. 109 grams, 58mm (2 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired London art market, 1970-1980.
Fine condition.
