Roman Ribbed Glass Vessel
3rd-4th century AD. An aqua glass jar with globular body, vertical trails to the lower body, broad funicular mouth with rounded rim, iridescent surface. Cf. Whitehouse, D. Roman Glass in the Corning Museum of Glass, vol.1, New York, 1997, item 286 for type. 85 grams, 10.3cm (4"). From a private Belgian collection; previously part of a private collection formed in Germany in the 1990s. [No Reserve]
Very fine condition.
