Description
Egyptian Bastet Amulet
Third Intermediate Period, 1069-702 BC. A glazed composition amuletic figurine of Bastet on tongue-shaped base. Cf. Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, item 64(f"). 15 grams, 47mm (1 3/4"). Property of a South West London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s; by descent 1986.
