Medieval Gold 'Joy Without End' Posy Ring
15th century AD. A gold epigraphic ring formed as a flat-section hoop with blackletter legend 'ioie sans fin' (Joy without end) separated by fronds. 1.48 grams, 16mm overall, 14.97mm internal diameter (approximate size British H 1/2, USA 4, Europe 7.0, Japan 6) (3/4"). Property of a Dutch lady; acquired on the UK art market.
