Description
Medieval Gold Ring with Cabochon
12th-13th century AD. A gold ring with slender round-section hoop, plano-convex bezel with inset rock crystal cabochon. Cf. Chadour, A.B. Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 562. 2.52 grams, 25mm overall, 18.62mm internal diameter (approximate size British Q 1/2, USA 8 1/2, Europe 18.40, Japan 17) (1"). Property of a Dutch lady; acquired on the continental art market.
Very fine condition, polished. A large wearable size.
