Iron Age Ceremonial Vessel
4th-2nd century BC. A substantial central European ceremonial bowl, made beaten from thick sheet copper-alloy, with opposed clusters of lugs either side. 2.3 kg, 24cm diameter (9 1/2"). Property of a European collector; formerly in an old European collection formed mainly in the 1980s.
Fair condition, professionally cleaned and conserved.
