Description
Roman Oil Lamp with Dolphin
2nd century AD. A ceramic oil lamp with rounded long nozzle, volute scroll to each side, deep discus with concentric circles, dolphin to the centre. 83.1 grams, 10.1cm (4"). Property of a South London collector; previously acquired on the European art market 1970-1980.
Fine condition.
