Seleucid Empire, Antiochos I, co-regent with Seleukos I Nikator AR Tetradrachm. 294-281 BC. Susa mint; possibly struck in the final years of Seleukos I or early years of Antiochos I, 281-261 BC. In the name of Seleukos I and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Apparently Unpublished Variety

Seleucid Empire, Antiochos I, co-regent with Seleukos I Nikator AR Tetradrachm. 294-281 BC. Susa mint; possibly struck in the final years of Seleukos I or early years of Antiochos I, 281-261 BC. In the name of Seleukos I and types of Alexander III of Macedon. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress, paws tied beneath chin / ΒΑΣIΛΕΩΣ ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ, Zeus seated to left on backless throne, holding long sceptre in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing to right with closed wings; to left, monogram of KP; beneath throne, monogram of ΠΥΡ. SC - (cf. 399.5&7 for different secondary controls); HGC 9, 125c. 16.91gr, 26mm, 9h. Very Fine. Double struck. Extremely rare; apparently unpublished variety.
