Anglo-Saxon. Archbishop Plegmund AR Penny. 890-895. + PLEGMVND ARCHIEP, small cross within linear circle / ELFS TAN, pellet trefoil above and below with three pellets between. SCBC 900; North 256. 1.43gr, 20mm, 9h Good Very Fine. Very rare.

From the Horton collection, UK; Accompanied by a previous dealer's coin ticket (£3,500.00); This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by search certificate number no.12029-214259.
