Carausius, Romano-British Emperor BI Antoninianus. AD 286-293. [..]VSIVS P F AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed(?) bust to right, seen from front / [PR]OV[I]D AV[G], Providentia standing facing, head to left, holding sceptre with right hand and cornucopia with left; [globe?] at feet to left, [C?] in exergue. Cf. RIC V.2 348 (Camulodunum mint). 2.30gr, 22mm, 12h [No Reserve] Near Very Fine. Edge chipped.

Acquired on the UK art market; Property of an Essex, UK, gentleman.
