Description

Celtic Britannia. The Corieltauvi AV Stater. Circa 50 BC-AD 20. Devolved head of Apollo to right, consisting of wreath and crescents; [wheel] before / Lunate horse to left, kite above, four-armed spiral(?) and three pellets beneath horse's belly, three pellets beneath horse's tail, four-spoked wheel before. Cf. ABC 1761; cf. Van Arsdell 825.1; cf. SCBC 392. 5.29gr, 17mm, 11h [No Reserve] Good Very Fine. Lustrous.
