2nd-1st millennium B.C.. Fragment comprising the hollow-formed body of the blade and flared cutting edge. Cf. Evans, J., The Ancient Bronze Implements, Weapons and Ornaments of Great Britain and Ireland, London, 1881, item 116, for type with flared ends to blade. 74 grams, 59 mm (2 1/4 in.).
