14th century A.D.. Round-section hoop supporting a conical cell with inset rock crystal cabochon. Cf. Chadour, A.B., Rings. The Alice and Louis Koch Collection, volume I, Leeds, 1994, item 570, for type. 1.62 grams, 21.13 mm overall, 15.65 mm internal diameter (approximate size British J 1/2, USA 5, Europe 9.32, Japan 9) (7/8 in.).

Acquired on the European art market in the 1990s. UK collection of a European gentleman.
