Description

Early-Middle Bronze Age, circa 2700-1900 B.C. Of globular profile with narrow neck and flared mouth, single lug and incised band of trilinear zigzags to the shoulder; small hole to one side. 3.8 kg, 33 cm (13 in.).

From a collection acquired on the UK art market from various auction houses and collections mostly before 2000. From an important Cambridgeshire estate; thence by descent.
