Lower Palaeolithic Period, 450,000-250,000 years B.P. Ovate in plan and triangular in section with inked '16 St Front' to one face. 260 grams, 11.3 cm (4 1/2 in.).
Found field walking in St Front, Dordogne Region, France. From an old French collection formed in the early 1900s. From the collection of a Norfolk, UK, lady collector.
