Natural History - Large Meteoritic Tektite Group [12].
Meteoric glass, melted terrestrial rock splashed from an impact crater, most roughly ovoid in shape. 969 grams total, 47-83 mm (1 7/8 in.).

From Mexico.Ex Mineral Imports, London, UK.Gregory, Bottley & Lloyd (Gregory's).

Tektites are lumps of black or dark grey natural glass produced from melted crustal rocks that are caused by large hypervelocity meteorite impacts on sediments. [12, No Reserve]
