Description

Large Chinese Han Terracotta Kneeling Figure
Han Dynasty, 206 B.C.-220 A.D.. Wearing a floor-length robe and moon slippers, the hands enclosed in the concertinaed folds of the sleeves, long hair gathered in knot to the rear; restored. Cf. kneeling figures forming part of a dance and music ensemble from the Han period, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, under accession number 1994.605.85a-c. 7.35 kg, 42 cm high (16 1/2 in.).

From a West Country, UK, collection, formed in the 1990s.Accompanied by an original thermoluminescence analysis report no.C122e85 from Oxford Authentication.This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by search certificate no.11371-192659.
