Medieval Bronze Seal Matrix with 'Hail Mary, Full of Grace'
1300-1400 A.D.. Chessman seal with facetted body, knop finial; design of Mary standing holding the infant Jesus, legend to the rim '* AVE MARIA GRATIA' (Hail, Mary, [full] of Grace). 12.5 grams, 24 mm (1 in.).
Found near Bainton, East Riding of Yorkshire, UK.Accompanied by a copy of the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS) report no.YORYM-07440C.
