Description

Hellenistic Silver Gilt Piriform Vase
2nd-1st century B.C. Broad vase or jar with everted rim, carinated shoulder, gilt bands to the foot, shoulder and rim; some restoration. Cf. similar item with more pronounced rim and decoration in the Metropolitan Museum of Art under accession no.1972.118.159. 472 grams, 13.1 cm (5 1/8 in.).
