Description

Etruscan Bronze Figure of an Acrobat
5th century B.C. Nude female in arched pose with arms angled backwards behind her head to form a handle; mounted on a custom-made stand. Cf. similar item in the British Museum London under accession no.1884,0614.34. 223 grams total, 11.5 cm high including stand (4 1/2 in.).

Ex Charles Ede, 1989 [stock no. 4908].Acquired from a Japanese collector, 2010.This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by search certificate no.12051-211850.
