Lower Palaeolithic Period, circa 400,000-200,000 B.P.. With facetted point and lentoid section. Cf. MacGregor, A. (ed.), Antiquities from Europe and the Near East in the Collection of Lord MacAlpine of West Green, Oxford, 1987, item 1.26. 646 grams, 18.5 cm (7 1/4 in.).
