Western Asiatic Terracotta Chalice
2nd-1st millennium B.C. With conical base and stepped stem, broad bowl with carination, two lateral pierced lugs at the equator, holes to the base. 530 grams, 21.2 cm (8 3/8 in.).
From a collection acquired on the UK art market from various auction houses and collections mostly before 2000.From an important Cambridgeshire estate; thence by descent.
