Large Chinese Han Terracotta Kneeling Figure
Han Dynasty, 206 B.C.-220 A.D.. Wearing a floor-length robe and moon slippers, the hands enclosed in the concertinaed folds of the sleeves, long hair gathered in knot to the rear; restored. Cf. kneeling figures forming part of a dance and music ensemble from the Han period, now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, under accession number 1994.605.85a-c. 7.35 kg, 42 cm high (16 1/2 in.).
