Description
Medieval Gold Ring with Garnet
12th-15th century A.D.. With slender hoop, cup bezel with inset cabochon garnet. Cf. Oman, C.C., British Rings 800-1914, London, 1974 pl.14(A). 0.70 grams, 20.50 mm overall, 15.16 mm internal diameter (approximate size British I, USA 4 1/4, Europe 7.44, Japan 7) (3/4 in.).
From a late Japanese specialist collector, 1970-2000s.
