Description
Gold Ring with Chalcedony Cabochon
Late 18th-early 19th century A.D. Flat-section hoop with applied filigree rims, undulating striptwist median band, ellipsoid bezel with claw setting and filigree pelta motifs, applied filigree loops to the underside, inset chalcedony cabochon; probably from South East Asia. 7.13 grams, 26.17 mm overall, 16.49 x 18.32 mm internal diameter (approximate size British O 1/2, USA 7 1/4, Europe 15.61, Japan 15) (1 in.).
