Large Medieval Lead Round Seal Matrix with Pentagram for Robert son of Wigmær
Circa 14th-15th century A.D. With pierced tag, central incised pentagram with impressed pellets, legend to the border ' + SIGI?? ROBERTI FILI VVIMERI' (seal of Robert son of Wigmær). 27.2 grams, 52 mm (2 in.).
Found Southern England. Acquired on the UK art market in the 1980s. From an East Anglian private collection.
