Medieval Pewter Pilgrim's Badge with Saint
Circa 14th-15th century A.D. Lozengiform plaque with low-relief facing image of a saint with processional cross; pellets to the border; pin to the reverse. Cf. Spencer, B., Pilgrim Souvenirs and Secular Badges, Woodbridge, 2010, items 27, 30, for type. 3.18 grams, 21 mm (3/4 in.).
Found on the Thames Foreshore, circa 2000.
