Stone Age French Flint Bifacial Handaxe
Neolithic Period, circa 6th-4th millennium B.C. Substantial cordiform handaxe with remains of the cortex to one face; old inked findspot inscription 'Wanel'. 564 grams, 15 cm (6 in.).
Found Wanel, France. From an old French collection. Ex Norfolk, UK, private collection. From the collection of a South West London, UK, collector.
