British Weights - James I - Spur Ryal XVI Shillings VI Pence - Verified Coin Weight
After 1612 A.D. Square flan. Obv: 'spur' in form of sun in splendour with rose at centre within tressure of eight arcs with alternating lion and lis-with-ornament in arcs. Rev: crown above XVIs / VID in two lines; with 'crowned I' verification punch to top left corner. See Withers 396-403. 6.48 grams.
Found Romney Marsh, Kent area, 1990-2020. Ex property of a Kent collector.
