Western Asiatic Red Jasper Cylinder Seal for Shuni-il(DINGIR) Royal Bailiff
2nd-1st millennium B.C. With incised frieze of a seated figure in a tiered garment and a standing figure in floor-length garment and conical headgear, second figure behind him in a fringed robe, two columns of cuneiform text to the rear: Shuni-il(DINGIR) royal bailiff; chipped. Cf. Teissier, B., Ancient Near Eastern Cylinder Seals in the Marcopoli Collection, Berkeley, 1984, item 98, for type. 6.62 grams, 26 mm (1 in.).
