Ancient Roman Imperial Coins - Postumus - Pax AE Antoninianus
269 A.D. Milan mint. Obv: IMP C POSTVMVS P F AVG legend with radiate and draped bust right. Rev: PAX EQVIT legend with Pax standing left holding olive-branch and transverse sceptre; T in exergue. RIC 381; RSC 228; Sear 10968 variant (reverse legend).3.35 grams. From the South Petherton, Somerset Hoard, found 13th November 2013. Treasure Act reference 2013T775. PAS No: SOM-B7CA61. Subsequently returned to the finder/landowner. Acquired UK market. This issue believed to have been struck under the general Aureolus who defected from Gallienus to join with Postumus. [No Reserve]
