Natural History - Cut Fossil Ammonite Halves
Middle Cretaceous Period, 150 million years B.P. Polished to reveal the distinctive structure of the Cleoniceras sp. chambers, some iridescence; chip to edge of one half. 256 grams total, 10-10.3 cm (4 in.). From Madagascar. Collected between 1930 and 1960. From the collection of the palaeontologist R Gledhill.[2, No Reserve]
