Natural History - Fossil Allosaurus Dinosaur Rib Bone Section
Late Jurassic Period, 155-145 million years B.P. Comprising a slightly curving specimen with rough surfaces. 415 grams, 14.5 cm (5 3/4 in.). From Emery County, Utah, U.S.A. Acquired 1980s. From an old Bristol, UK, collection. The name 'Allosaurus' means 'different lizard' alluding to its unique concave vertebrae. [No Reserve]
