Georgian Painted Wooden Police Truncheon
1820-1830 A.D. The ribbed handle pierced for suspension; gilt G.R initials with IIII above for George IV and crowned royal arms with portcullis below, possibly for Westminster, in polychrome and gilt. 310 grams, 47 cm (18 1/2 in.). Acquired 1990s-early 2000s. East Anglian private collection.[No Reserve]
