Migration Period Silver-Gilt Sword Scabbard Pyramid Mount
Circa 6th century A.D. Formed with a circular base tapering to a square socket at the apes, the facetted sides fashioned as stylised petals, triangular recesses between each. 7 grams, 18 mm (3/4 in.). Acquired 1960s-1990s. From the late Alison Barker collection, a retired London barrister.[No Reserve]
