Description
Egyptian Jasper Bead with Horus as a Falcon
Late New Kingdom, 1550-1069 B.C. Plano-convex bead with incised image to the underside. Cf. Andrews, C., Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, item 57, for design on scarab.1.3 grams, 12 mm (1/2 in.). Acquired 1969-1999. From the private collection of the late Mr S.M., London, UK, thence by descent.
