Description
Egyptian Amethyst Horus Amulet
Late Period, 664-332 B.C. Shown in the form of a falcon modelled perched on a rectangular base; drilled for suspension. Cf. Andrews, C., Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, item 67(a), for type.5.9 grams, 27 mm wide (1 in.). From an early 20th century Home Counties, UK, collection.
