258-260 A.D. Uncertain Syrian mint. Obv: IMP C P LIC VALERIANVS P F AVG legend with radiate and draped bust right. Rev: PIETAS AVGG legend with Gallienus and Valerian standing facing each other sacrificing over altar between and holding eagle-tipped sceptre and parazonium; wreath with dot inside in centre field above. RIC 285; RSC 152; Sear 9955.4.29 grams. Property of a North London gentleman.[No Reserve]
