Chinese Wei Ceramic Buddha Brick
Northern Wei Dynasty, 386-534 A.D. Rectangular in form, depicting a Buddha figure standing on a lotus base within a lancet-shaped niche, hands held in a mudra, nimbus behind the head. 3.3 kg, 30 cm (11 3/4 in.). Ex London, UK, collection, 1990.
