Western Asiatic Finely-Painted Ceramic Pitcher
2nd-1st millennium B.C. The body with convex sidewall and rounded base, trumpet-shaped neck with everted rim, short spout to the shoulder and strap handle to the rear; painted decoration including linear bands and hatched panels. 1.2 kg, 19 cm high (7 1/2 in.). Acquired 1970s-1990s. Ex Rabi Gallery, Mayfair, London, UK. From a specialist collection of pottery.
