Ancient Greek Coins - Pamphylia - Aspendos - Triskele AR Stater
465-430 B.C. Obv: helmetted, naked hoplite or hektor striding right, holding spear, shield on left arm; an astragalos shape with raised edges superimposed beneath legs. Rev: EST above triskeles with human feet rotating left, lion crouching left below. See SNG France III, 13 for type; unpublished variant but several known with this unusual superimposition. 10.97 grams. Ex UK private collection.
