Chinese Ming Glazed Attendant Figure Ming Dynasty, 1368-1644 A.D. or later. A glazed ceramic attendant figure modelled in the round standing on an hexagonal plinth, with stylised facial features, long tunic tied at the waist and a conical hat, hands made into gripping fists, creating sockets; remains of polychrome paint; head modelled separately. 1.83 kg, 41 cm high (16 1/8 in.). Acquired 1960s-1990s. Late Alison Barker collection, a retired London barrister.
