Description

Chinese Han Lidded Ewer Han Dynasty, 206 B.C.-220 A.D. A terracotta ewer (hu) with bulbous body, narrow waisted neck expanding to a flared mouth, domed discoid lid; traces of linear ornament to the shoulder. 1.85 kg, 31 cm high including lid (12 1/4 in.). Acquired 1970s. West Country, UK, collection.
