Roman Bow and Plate Brooch Group 2nd century A.D. A mixed group of bronze brooches comprising: a bow brooch with hinged pin, lozengiform bow with enamelled panels, owl to the footplate, possibly a Hod Hill type or derivative; an openwork plate brooch of a horse and rider with sprung pin and scrolled catch to the reverse; an ellipsoid plate brooch with rolled rim and pelleted face, inset crystal cabochon.
