Description

Chinese Han Kneeling Figure Han Dynasty, 206 B.C.-220 A.D. A ceramic figure of a female kneeling, wearing a floor-length robe and moon slippers, the hands enclosed in the concertinaed folds of the sleeves, long hair gathered in knot to the rear. 7.5 kg, 43 cm high (17 in.). Acquired 1990s. West Country, UK, collection. Accompanied by a positive original thermoluminescence analysis report no.C122e85 from Oxford Authentication. This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate no.11371-192659.
