Victoria - 1840 - Used Penny Black. Issued 1840 A.D. An unplated example of the 'Penny Black' with good to narrow margins, just touching at lower left corner; black maltese cross cancel. SG 2. 5.91 grams total, with display card 14.5 x 10.5 cm. (5 1/2 x 4 1/4 in.) Acquired UK market. Property of a Kent collector. The world's first adhesive postage stamp, issued 6 May 1840.
