Septimius Severus - Emperor Riding AR Denarius. 196 A.D. Rome mint. Obv: L SEP SEV PERT [AVG IMP ????] legend with laureate bust right. Rev: ADVENTVTI AVG FELICISSIMO legend with emperor riding right with right hand raised. RIC 74; BMC 46; RSC 6; Sear 6256. 3.02 grams. Found whilst searching with a metal detector, Isle of Wight, UK, on 16 September 2021. Recorded by Isle of Wight Portable Antiquities Scheme Liaison Officer with reference numbers SZ 40079 and BNG 86549. [No Reserve]
