Medieval and Other Leather Shoe Sole Collection. 16th-18th century A.D. A group of five leather shoe soles, most with perforations to the perimeter for attachment to the shoe uppers, including one with remains of nails to the base. 114 grams total, 14-17.5 cm high (5 1/2 - 6 7/8 in.) Found River Dee, near Chester, UK. London Mudlark, pre 2000. Ian Wilkinson collection, Nottinghamshire, UK, formed since 1985. Accompanied by a typed information ticket. [5, No Reserve]
