Viking Age Coiled Ring. 9th-12th century A.D. A coiled ring formed from a single length of bronze wire produced to varying thicknesses. 7.75 grams, 22.23 mm overall, 17.44 mm internal diameter (approximate size British M 1/2, USA 6 1/4, Europe 13.09, Japan 12) (7/8 in.) Acquired on the UK art market, 2000s. Property of an Essex gentleman. [No Reserve]
