Viking Age Tanged Scythe. 9th-11th century A.D. An iron scythe composed of a curved blade with remains of teeth to the lower edge and a tapering rectangular-section tang. 118 grams, 27 cm (10 1/2 in.) UK gallery, acquired in the 2000s. Property of an English gentleman. [No Reserve]
